10 Things you should Never Ignore!
(Not in any specific order)
Never ignore- Breakfast!
Many people are in the habit of skipping breakfast. They make do with a cup of coffee or grab a piece of fruit. And the worst part is they think they’re doing the right thing to “lose weight”. If you don’t eat within 30 minutes of waking up, your body will go into “starvation mode” and preserve whatever you shove down your throat. In other words, it will store it as fat. They don’t say most important meal of the day for nothing.
Never ignore- What your body tells you!
Whether you are a health freak that works out 6 times a week or the regular smoker who dines at fast food joints. Our bodies talk to us constantly. Not listening may cause anything from pain, illnesses, diseases or even death. If you workout vigorously and always deprive yourself of “junk” food, eventually your body will start feeling the fatigue. Give your body the rest it needs, and treat yourself to a delicious burger once in a while. If you are coughing all the time, out of breath and are prone to getting sick, then you may want to stop smoking or eating burgers all the time. Becoming familiar with your body takes time and practice. Trial and error. Most people don’t even know what’s good or bad for them. But if there is something wrong, you will feel it. Put an end to it. Before it’s too late.
Never ignore- What your heart says!
You always hear, “Follow Your Heart”. Your inner most desires and dreams are hidden there. Often times we are torn between following our hearts and making a logical decision with our brains. For me, the decisions i’ve made with my heart, whether right or wrong, have all ended without regret. I did it my way and I followed my heart. If your heart tells you to do something, but you are torn in taking that leap of faith, I say JUMP! You got one life to live. Live it according to the instrument that beats.
Never ignore- The opportunity to travel!
If you have the chance, GO! Get out of where you live for a while. Being stuck in the same place is prisoning your spirit. The world gets bigger as you travel. Even if you don’t have anyone to go with, go by yourself. You learn more about yourself, the world, and life that way. I’ve met people who traveled the world and people that never left their hometown. A young man asked me once, “Who is wiser, a person who studies or one that travels?”
Never ignore- The chance to do something nice!
We are all presented with different opportunities everyday to do something good, something nice for someone else. Take those chances. It’s all about energy. You put a smile on someones face, that person goes and puts a smile on another person’s face. And round and round we go. Don’t chase things that don’t matter. One day we will all die. The only thing that will be left is what was in your heart and the amount of hearts you touched. At the end of the day, it’s all about how you treat people. Not people that do something for you. The ones that can do nothing for you.
Never ignore- Lunch and Dinner!
I don’t know about you, but I love eating. All the time. I go to sleep at night thinking of tomorrow morning’s breakfast. After breakfast, I think of lunch. I eat healthy though. I don’t chow down burgers and pizza. I’d like to. But I don’t. Never skip meals. Eat small meals every 2,3 hours so you can keep burning it as energy.
Never ignore- The people you love!
That’s pretty much it. Appreciate them while they’re alive. While you are alive. Don’t take them for granted. It’s the ones we love we hurt the most. But it’s all because we care. Don’t let small things hurt your relationships. Let them know you love them. Know that they love you. Nobody is perfect. Just do your best. Try harder. Be better.
Never ignore- Listening to someone in need!
Sometimes, the best thing, the nicest thing you can do for someone is to just sit back and listen to what they have to say. Ask them how they are. Ask them if they need anything. Hear their story. Tell yours. Touch their shoulder. Give a hug. People need to feel like what they have to say matters. Sometimes all you need is a friend. Be a friend to someone. Anyone. You don’t have to know them. Just be nice.
Never ignore- Love!
Never ignore- The moment!
Live in the here and now. Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow isn’t a guarantee. Follow your dreams. But dreams take a while to come true. Work hard towards them, keep dreaming, but let go of trying to control it. If it’s meant to be it will find it’s way. Don’t chase a feeling. People are in the pursuit of happiness. When they have everything in order to be happy right here and now. All the tools required to make something of yourself. Be thankful for what you got and stay in the present.
